Genesis 17:19 And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, [and] with his seed after him.

ISAAC, THE CHILD ‘OF PROMISE’! AND WITH HIS SEED AFTER HIM – JESUS CHRIST THE MESSIAH!

JESUS CHRIST, THE ANOINTED ONE, THE MESSIAH, THE SON OF GOD, “”THE EVERLASTING GOSPEL!””

Deut 29:29 “The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.

Excellent article on the Rapture!  http://flashtrafficblog.wordpress.com/2014/10/05/hollywood-tackles-the-end-times-with-left-behind-film-but-is-the-rapture-a-biblical-concept-or-a-fictional-plot-device/

This is why Christians support Israel!

God swore to Abraham, made an oath! Nothing abrogates this oath! This OATH is fulfilled in the “child of promise”, which is JESUS CHRIST!

THE OATH / PROMISE / COVENANT
Gen 12:1 Now the LORD had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, From your family And from your father’s house, To a land that I will show you. 2 I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing. 3 I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
Gen 21:12 And God said unto Abraham, Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the lad, and because of thy bondwoman; in all that Sarah hath said unto thee, hearken unto her voice; for in Isaac shall thy seed be called.
Rom 9:7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, [are they] all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.
Heb 11:18 Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called:

The Complete Green Letters by Miles J. Stanford; Zondervan Publishing House, Grand Rapids, Michigan; Chapter 32 In-Law, page 151

(1) Four hundred and thirty years before God introduced the law (the ten commandments), He gave Abraham the covenant of promise. This covenant had to do with faith, and with Christ.

Faith“Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness…So then they which be of faith are blessed with faith, and with Christ. (Gal. 3:6,9). Gal. 3:7 Therefore know that [only] those who are of faith are sons of Abraham.

Christ – “Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ” (Gal. 3:16). The Father’s Old Testament expression of His one and only way of salvation was by grace through faith in the coming Messiah.

(2) Four centuries after Abraham received the covenant of promise. God presented the law to the Jews. “The law was given by Moses” (John 1:17). The law was not meant to replace the principles of promise, grace, and faith, but was brought in alongside. “The law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect. For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise” (Gal. 3:17, 18).

(3) God’s “law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good” (Rom. 7:12). But it has to do with sin and death, not righteousness and life. “For by the law is knowledge of sin” (Rom 3:20). The law reveals man’s condition and intensifies his need. “But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful” (Rom. 7:13).”

The law did not abrogate the Abrahamic Covenant: Galatians 3:6-9,15-18 but was an intermediate disciplinary dealing (a schoolmaster) “till the Seed should come to whom the promise was made”;

The New Covenant (Prophecy) of Jeremiah 31:31-40 and 32:40ff. is one of the significant covenants of Scripture, and is remarkably full, stating: (1) the time of the covenant (vv. 31,33); (2) the parties to the covenant (v. 31); (3) the contrast in covenants – Mosaic and New (v. 32); (4) the terms of the covenant (v. 33); (5) the comprehensiveness of the covenant (v. 34); (6) the basic features of the covenant (v. 34): (a) knowledge of God and (b) forgiveness of sin; (7) the perpetuity of the people of the covenant (vv. 35-37; and (8) the guarantee of the covenant (the rebuilt city) (vv.38-40). See Heb. 8:8, For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel. . . .
FULFILLED IN CHRIST

Jer 31:31 “Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah– 32 “not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day [that] I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says the LORD. 33 “But this [is] the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 34 “No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.” 35 Thus says the LORD, Who gives the sun for a light by day, The ordinances of the moon and the stars for a light by night, Who disturbs the sea, And its waves roar The LORD of hosts is His name: 36 “If those ordinances depart From before Me, says the LORD, [Then] the seed of Israel shall also cease From being a nation before Me forever.” 37 Thus says the LORD: “If heaven above can be measured, And the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel For all that they have done, says the LORD.  . . . . It (the seed of Israel) shall not be plucked up or thrown down anymore forever.”

The law did not abrogate the Abrahamic Covenant Galatians 3:6-9,15-18 but was an intermediate disciplinary dealing “till the Seed should come to whom the promise was made” ;

Hebrews 8:8 The New Covenant, the last of the eight great covenants of Scripture (as Scofield defines them), is (1) “better” than the Mosaic Covenant (Ex. 19:5, note), not morally but efficaciously (Heb. 7:19; cp. Rom. 8:3-4). (2) It is established upon “better” (i.e. unconditional) promises. In the Mosaic Covenant God said, “If ye will” (Ex. 19:5); in the New Covenant He says, “I will” (Heb. 8:10,12). (3) Under the Mosaic Covenant obedience sprang from fear (2:2; 12:25-27); under the New it issues from a willing heart and mind (8:10). (4) The New Covenant secures the personal revelation of the Lord to every believer (v. 11). (5) It assures the complete oblivion of sins (v. 12; 10:17; cp. 10:3). (6) It rests upon an accomplished redemption (Mt. 26:27-28; 1 Cor. 11:25; Heb. 9:11-12, 18-23). Bear in mind that the same Greek word (diatheke) is rendered both as “testament” and as “covenant” in the N.T. And (7) it secures the perpetuity, future conversion, and blessing of a repentant Israel, with whom the New Covenant is ratified. (10:9; cp. Jer. 31:31-40; see also Kingdom (O.T.), Zech 12:8, note; and 2 Sam 7:8-17 with notes).
Covenants: Pg vii, Scofield Reference Bible. Oath of Everlasting Gospel

Deut 30:11-14 For this commandment which I command thee this day, it [is] not hidden from thee, neither [is] it far off.
It [is] not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
Neither [is] it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
But the word [is] very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it, [For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.]

Rom 10:4-10 For Christ [is] the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.
But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? [and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?](that is, to bring Christ down [from above]:) Or, Who shall descend into the deep?[and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?] (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)
But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, [even] in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
[But the word [is] very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.] For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

The Land is the second part of the Covenant / Oath
The Abrahamic Covenant/Oath/Promise as formed: (1) “In thee shall all the families of the earth be blessed.” This is the great evangelic promise fulfilled in Abraham’s Seed: Christ! Galatians 3:16; John 8:56-58. And Genesis 12:1-4 and confirmed; Genesis 13:14-17; Genesis 15:1-7; Genesis 17:1-8 is in seven distinct parts: (2) “I will make of thee a great nation.” Fulfilled in a threefold way: (a) In a natural posterity–“as the dust of the earth Genesis 13:16; John 8:37, viz. the Hebrew people. (b) In a spiritual posterity–“look now toward heaven. .. so shall thy seed be” John 8:39; Romans 4:16,17; Romans 9:7; Romans 9:8; Galatians 3:6; Galatians 3:7; Galatians 3:29 viz. all men of faith, whether Jew or Gentile. (c) fulfilled also through Ishmael Genesis 17:18-20 (3) “I will bless thee.” Fulfilled in two ways: (a) temporally Genesis 13:14; Genesis 13:15; Genesis 13:17; Genesis 15:18; Genesis 24:34; Genesis 24:35 (b) spiritually; Genesis 15:6; John 8:56 (4) “And make thy name great.” Abraham’s is the universal name. (5) “And thou shalt be a blessing” Galatians 3:13; Galatians 3:14 (6) “I will bless them that bless thee.” In fulfilment closely related to the next clause. (7) “And curse him that curseth thee.” Wonderfully fulfilled in the history of the dispersion. It has invariably fared ill with the people who have persecuted the Jew–well with those who have protected him. The future will still more remarkably prove this principle Deuteronomy 30:7; Isaiah 14:1,; Joel 3:1-8; Micah 5:7-9;Haggai 2:22; Zechariah 14:1-3; Matthew 25:40; Matthew 25:45.

It brings into greater definiteness the promise of the Adamic Covenant concerning the Seed of the woman Genesis 3:15

NOTE.–The covenant/oath of the land is modified by prophecies of three dispossessions and restorations Genesis 15:13; Genesis 15:14; Genesis 15:16; Jeremiah 25:11; Jeremiah 25:12; Deuteronomy 28:62-65;Deuteronomy 30:1-3. Two dispossessions and restorations have been accomplished. Israel is now in the third dispersion, from which she will be restored at the return of the Lord as King under the Davidic Covenant; Deuteronomy 30:3; Jeremiah 23:5-8; Ezekiel 37:21-25; Luke 1:30-33; Acts 15:14-17

Rom 9:7 nor [are they] all children because they are the seed of Abraham; but, “In Isaac your seed shall be called.” 8 That is, those who [are] the children of the flesh, these [are] not the children of God; but the children of the promise are counted as the seed.

Galatians 3:6 just as Abraham “believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” 7 Therefore know that [only] those who are of faith are sons of Abraham. 8 And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, [saying], In you all the nations shall be blessed.” 9 So then those who [are] of faith are blessed with believing Abraham. 14 that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. … 16 Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made.’ He does not say, “And to seeds,” as of many, but as of one, “And to your Seed,” who is Christ. … 18 For if the inheritance [is] of the law, [it is] no longer of promise; but God gave [it] to Abraham by promise. – Galatians 3:7-9, 14, 16, 18 NKJV
1 Peter 2:7 Unto you therefore which believe [he is] precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner, 9 But ye [are] a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: 10 Which in time past [were] not a people, but [are] now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
Revelation 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, [who is] the faithful witness, [and] the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, 6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him [be] glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Deut 29:29 “The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.

Eph 3:5 which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to His holy apostles and prophets:

THE Second OATH

Gen 12:1 Now the LORD had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, From your family And from your father’s house, To a land that I will show you. 2 I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing. 3 I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

And also, the land, Gen 13:14 And the LORD said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him: “Lift your eyes now and look from the place where you are–northward, southward, eastward, and westward; … 16 “And I will make your descendants as the dust of the earth; so that if a man could number the dust of the earth, [then] your descendants also could be numbered.

Gen 15:2 But Abram said, “Lord GOD, what will You give me, seeing I go childless, and the heir of my house [is] Eliezer of Damascus?” 3 Then Abram said, “Look, You have given me no offspring; indeed one born in my house is my heir!” 4 And behold, the word of the LORD [came] to him, saying, “This one shall not be your heir, but one who will come from your own body shall be your heir.” 5 Then He brought him outside and said, “Look now toward heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number them.” And He said to him, “So shall your descendants be.” 6 And he believed in the LORD, and He accounted it to him for righteousness. 7 Then He said to him, “I [am] the LORD, who brought you out of Ur of the Chaldeans, to give you this land to inherit it.” 8 And he said, “Lord GOD, how shall I know that I will inherit it?” 9 So He said to him, “Bring Me a three-year-old heifer, a three-year-old female goat, a three-year-old ram, a turtledove, and a young pigeon.” 10 Then he brought all these to Him and cut them in two, down the middle, and placed each piece opposite the other; but he did not cut the birds in two. 11 And when the vultures came down on the carcasses, Abram drove them away. 12 And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and, lo, an horror of great darkness fell upon him. 13 And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land [that is] not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years; 14 And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance. 15 And thou shalt go to thy fathers in peace; thou shalt be buried in a good old age. 16 But in the fourth generation they shall come hither again: for the iniquity of the Amorites [is] not yet full. 17 And it came to pass, that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces. 18 In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates: – Genesis 15:2-18 KJV

Genesis 17:19 And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, [and] with his seed after him. … 21 But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next year.

This child of Oath / Promise  God has made, ‘My covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, [and] with his descendants after him’.

Genesis 17:1 When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, “I [am] Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless. 2 “And I will make My covenant between Me and you, and will multiply you exceedingly.”3 Then Abram fell on his face, and God talked with him, saying: 4 “As for Me, behold, My covenant is with you, and you shall be a father of many nations.5 “No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham; for I have made you a father of many nations.6″I will make you exceedingly fruitful; and I will make nations of you, and kings shall come from you. 7 “And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants after you. 8″Also I give to you and your descendants after you the land in which you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.” 9 And God said to Abraham: “As for you, you shall keep My covenant, you and your descendants after you throughout their generations. 10″This [is] My covenant which you shall keep, between Me and you and your descendants after you: Every male child among you shall be circumcised; 11″and you shall be circumcised in the flesh of your foreskins, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between Me and you. 12 “He who is eight days old among you shall be circumcised, every male child in your generations, he who is born in your house or bought with money from any foreigner who is not your descendant.13 “He who is born in your house and he who is bought with your money must be circumcised, and My covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant.14 “And the uncircumcised male child, who is not circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin, that person shall be cut off from his people; he has broken My covenant.”15 Then God said to Abraham, “As for Sarai your wife, you shall not call her name Sarai, but Sarah [shall be] her name. 16 “And I will bless her and also give you a son by her; then I will bless her, and she shall be [a mother of] nations; kings of peoples shall be from her.”17 Then Abraham fell on his face and laughed, and said in his heart, “Shall [a child] be born to a man who is one hundred years old? And shall Sarah, who is ninety years old, bear [a child]?” 18 And Abraham said to God, “Oh, that Ishmael might live before You!”19 Then God said: “No, Sarah your wife shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac; I will establish My covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, [and] with his descendants after him.20 “And as for Ishmael, I have heard you. Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly. He shall beget twelve princes, and I will make him a great nation.21″But My covenant I will establish with Isaac, whom Sarah shall bear to you at this set time next year.”22 Then He finished talking with him, and God went up from Abraham.23 So Abraham took Ishmael his son, all who were born in his house and all who were bought with his money, every male among the men of Abraham’s house, and circumcised the flesh of their foreskins that very same day, as God had said to him.24 Abraham [was] ninety-nine years old when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.25 And Ishmael his son [was] thirteen years old when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin. 26That very same day Abraham was circumcised, and his son Ishmael; 27 and all the men of his house, born in the house or bought with money from a foreigner, were circumcised with him.

Genesis 21:12 But God said to Abraham, “Do not let it be displeasing in your sight because of the lad or because of your bondwoman. Whatever Sarah has said to you, listen to her voice; for in Isaac your seed shall be called. 13 “Yet I will also make a nation of the son of the bondwoman, because he [is] your seed.” 14 So Abraham rose early in the morning, and took bread and a skin of water; and putting [it] on her shoulder, he gave [it] and the boy to Hagar, and sent her away. Then she departed and wandered in the Wilderness of Beersheba. 20 So God was with the lad; and he grew and dwelt in the wilderness, and became an archer. 21 He dwelt in the Wilderness of Paran; and his mother took a wife for him from the land of Egypt.

Genesis 22:16 and said: “By Myself I have sworn, says the LORD, because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only [son]– 17 “blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which [is] on the seashore; and your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies. 18 “In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.”

Genesis 25:23 And the LORD said to her: “Two nations [are] in your womb, Two peoples shall be separated from your body; [One] people shall be stronger than the other, And the older shall serve the younger.”

Genesis 26:2 Then the LORD appeared to him and said: “Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land of which I shall tell you. 3 “Dwell in this land, and I will be with you and bless you; for to you and your descendants I give all these lands, and I will perform the oath which I swore to Abraham your father. 4 “And I will make your descendants multiply as the stars of heaven; I will give to your descendants all these lands; and in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed; 5 “because Abraham obeyed My voice and kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes, and My laws.” … 24 And the LORD appeared to him the same night and said, “I [am] the God of your father Abraham; do not fear, for I [am] with you. I will bless you and multiply your descendants for My servant Abraham’s sake.” – Genesis 26:2-5, 24

Genesis 28:11 So he came to a certain place and stayed there all night, because the sun had set. And he took one of the stones of that place and put it at his head, and he lay down in that place to sleep. 12 Then he dreamed, and behold, a ladder [was] set up on the earth, and its top reached to heaven; and there the angels of God were ascending and descending on it. 13 And behold, the LORD stood above it and said: “I [am] the LORD God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac; the land on which you lie I will give to you and your descendants. 14 “Also your descendants shall be as the dust of the earth; you shall spread abroad to the west and the east, to the north and the south; and in you and in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed. 15 “Behold, I [am] with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you.” 16 Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, “Surely the LORD is in this place, and I did not know [it].” 17 And he was afraid and said, “How awesome [is] this place! This [is] none other than the house of God, and this [is] the gate of heaven!” … 20 Then Jacob made a vow, saying, “If God will be with me, and keep me in this way that I am going, and give me bread to eat and clothing to put on, 21 “so that I come back to my father’s house in peace, then the LORD shall be my God. 22 “And this stone which I have set as a pillar shall be God’s house, and of all that You give me I will surely give a tenth to You.” – Genesis 28:11-17, 20-22

Genesis 35:11 Also God said to him: “I [am] God Almighty. Be fruitful and multiply; a nation and a company of nations shall proceed from you, and kings shall come from your body. 12 “The land which I gave Abraham and Isaac I give to you; and to your descendants after you I give this land.” – Genesis 35:11-12

Acts 2:30 “Therefore, being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that of the fruit of his body, according to the flesh, He would raise up the Christ to sit on his throne, – Acts 2:30

Deut 7:6 “For you [are] a holy people to the LORD your God; the LORD your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth. 7 “The LORD did not set His love on you nor choose you because you were more in number than any other people, for you were the least of all peoples; 8 “but because the LORD loves you, and because He would keep the oath which He swore to your fathers, the LORD has brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you from the house of bondage, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt – Deut 7:6-8

*Deut 29:12 “that you may enter into covenant with the LORD your God, and into His oath, which the LORD your God makes with you today, 13 “that He may establish you today as a people for Himself, and [that] He may be God to you, just as He has spoken to you, and just as He has sworn to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. 14 “I make this covenant and this oath, not with you alone, 15 “but with [him] who stands here with us today before the LORD our God, as well as with [him] who [is] not here with us today – Deut 29:12-15

1 Chronicles 16:16 [The covenant which] He made with Abraham, And His oath to Isaac,

Nehemiah 10:29 these joined with their brethren, their nobles, and entered into a curse and an oath to walk in God’s Law, which was given by Moses the servant of God, and to observe and do all the commandments of the LORD our Lord, and His ordinances and His statutes:

Psalms 105:6 O seed of Abraham His servant, You children of Jacob, His chosen ones! … 8 He remembers His covenant forever, The word [which] He commanded, for a thousand generations, 9 [The covenant] which He made with Abraham, And His oath to Isaac, 10 And confirmed it to Jacob for a statute, To Israel [as] an everlasting covenant, … 26 He sent Moses His servant, [And] Aaron whom He had chosen. – Psalms 105:6, 8-10, 26 NKJV

These [are] the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.

Isaiah 45:22 “Look to Me, and be saved, All you ends of the earth! For I [am] God, and [there is] no other. 23 I have sworn by Myself; The word has gone out of My mouth [in] righteousness, And shall not return, That to Me every knee shall bow, Every tongue shall take an oath. – Isaiah 45:22-23 NKJV

Acts 2:25 “For David says concerning Him: ‘I foresaw the LORD always before my face, For He is at my right hand, that I may not be shaken. … 30 “Therefore, being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that of the fruit of his body, according to the flesh, He would raise up the Christ to sit on his throne, – Acts 2:25, 30 NKJV

Daniel 9:11 “Yes, all Israel has transgressed Your law, and has departed so as not to obey Your voice; therefore the curse and the oath written in the Law of Moses the servant of God have been poured out on us, because we have sinned against Him. – Daniel 9:11 NKJV

Luke 1:72 To perform the mercy [promised] to our fathers And to remember His holy covenant, 73 The oath which He swore to our father Abraham: – Luke 1:72-73 NKJV

Hebrews 7:20 And inasmuch as [He was] not [made priest] without an oath 21 (for they have become priests without an oath, but He with an oath by Him who said to Him: “The LORD has sworn And will not relent, ‘You [are] a priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek’ “), … 28 For the law appoints as high priests men who have weakness, but the word of the oath, which came after the law, [appoints] the Son who has been perfected forever. – Hebrews 7:20-21, 28 NKJV

Rom 4:16 Therefore [it is] of faith that [it might be] according to grace, so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all 17 (as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed–God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did; 18 who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, “So shall your descendants be.” … 20 He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, 21 and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform. 22 And therefore “it was accounted to him for righteousness.” … 24 but also for us. It shall be imputed to us who believe in Him who raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead, – Romans 4:16-18, 20-22, 24 NKJV

Rom 9:7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, [are they] all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.

Gal 3:13 13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed [is] everyone who hangs on a tree”), 14 that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. 15 Brethren, I speak in the manner of men: Though [it is] only a man’s covenant, yet [if it is] confirmed, no one annuls or adds to it. 16 Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as of many, but as of one, “And to your Seed,” who is Christ. 17 And this I say, [that] the law, which was four hundred and thirty years later, cannot annul the covenant that was confirmed before by God in Christ, that it should make the promise of no effect. 18 For if the inheritance [is] of the law, [it is] no longer of promise; but God gave [it] to Abraham by promise. 19 What purpose then [does] the law [serve]? It was added because of transgressions, till the Seed should come to whom the promise was made; [and it was] appointed through angels by the hand of a mediator. 20 Now a mediator does not [mediate] for one [only], but God is one. 21 [Is]  the law then against the promises of God? Certainly not! For if there had been a law given which could have given life, truly righteousness would have been by the law. 22 But the Scripture has confined all under sin,  that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe. 23 But before faith came, we were kept under guard by the law, kept for the faith which would afterward be revealed. 24 Therefore the law was our tutor [to bring us] to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25 But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor. 26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if you [are] Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. – Galatians 3:19-29 NKJV

Hbr 6:15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. 16 For men indeed swear by the greater, and an oath for confirmation [is] for them an end of all dispute. 17 Thus God, determining to show more abundantly to the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed [it] by an oath, 18 that by two immutable things, in which it [is] impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before [us]. – Hebrews 6:15-18 NKJV

Heb 11:18 Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called:

Heb 13:8 Jesus Christ [is] the same yesterday, today, and forever. – Hebrews 13:8 NKJV

Jer 23:5 “Behold, [the] days are coming,” says the LORD, “That I will raise to David a Branch of righteousness; A King shall reign and prosper, And execute judgment and righteousness in the earth. 6 In His days Judah will be saved, And Israel will dwell safely; Now this [is] His name by which He will be called: THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS. – Jeremiah 23:5-6 NKJV

The law did not abrogate the Abrahamic Covenant Galatians 3:15-18 but was an intermediate disciplinary dealing “till the Seed should come to whom the promise was made” ;

Promise –  Abrahamic

Gen 12:1  Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee:

Gen 12:3  I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

Gen 12:7  And the LORD appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto thy seed will I give this land: and there builded he an altar unto the LORD, who appeared unto him.

Gen 13:15; For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.  The ‘hub of the Bible’, per J.V.McGee

Gen 15:18  In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:

covenant

(2) “I will bless thee.” Fulfilled in two ways:

(a) temporally Genesis 13:14,15,17; 15:18; 24:34,35 (b) spiritually ; Genesis 15:6; John 8:56

(3) “And make thy name great.” Abraham’s is one of the universal names.

(4) “And thou shalt be a blessing” Galatians 3:13,14

(5) “I will bless them that bless thee.” In fulfilment The Abrahamic Covenant as formed Genesis 12:1-4 and confirmed ; Genesis 13:14-17; 15:1-7 17:1-8 is in seven distinct parts:

(1) “I will make of thee a great nation.” Fulfilled in a threefold way:

(a) In a natural posterity–“as the dust of the earth Genesis 13:16; John 8:37, viz. the Hebrew people.

(b) In a spiritual posterity—Gen 15:5; “look now toward heaven . . . so shall thy seed be” John 8:39; Romans 4:16,17; 9:7,8; Galatians 3:6,7,29 viz. all men of faith, whether Jew or Gentile. Gen 15:6; And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.

(c) fulfilled also through Ishmael Genesis 17:18-20

closely related to the next clause.

(6) “And curse him that curseth thee.” Wonderfully fulfilled in the history of the dispersion. It has invariably fared ill with the people who have persecuted the Jew–well with those who have protected him. The future will still more remarkably prove this principle Deuteronomy 30:7; Isaiah 14:1,; Joel 3:1-8; Micah 5:7-9; Haggai 2:22; Zechariah 14:1-3; Matthew 25:40,45.

(7) Gen 12:3; “In thee shall all the families of the earth be blessed.” This is the great evangelic promise fulfilled in Abraham’s Seed, Christ! Galatians 3:16; John 8:56-58.

It brings into greater definiteness the promise of the Adamic Covenant concerning the Seed of the woman Genesis 3:15

NOTE.–The gift of the land is modified by prophecies of three dispossessions and restorations Genesis 15:13,14,16; Jeremiah 25:11,12; Deuteronomy 28:62-65; 30:1-3. Two dispossessions and restorations have been accomplished. Israel is now in the third dispersion, from which she will be restored at the return of the Lord as King under the Davidic Covenant ; Deuteronomy 30:3; Jeremiah 23:5-8; Ezekiel 37:21-25; Luke 1:30-33; Acts 15:14-17
