CHAPTER 3 – Predestinated

You Were Not Predestinated to Be What You Are! (or Chosen To Go To Hell)

It all begins with Genesis 3:15 “And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel.”
Gen 12:1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee: 2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: 3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. [Gal 3:7-9, 16-29]  [Gen 22:18 KJV] 18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.

[Gal 3:7-9, 16-29 NKJV] 7 Therefore know that [only] those who are of faith are sons of Abraham. 8 And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, [saying], “In you all the nations shall be blessed.” 9 So then those who [are] of faith are blessed with believing Abraham. … 16 Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as of many, but as of one, “And to your Seed,” who is Christ. 17 And this I say, [that] the law, which was four hundred and thirty years later, cannot annul the covenant that was confirmed before by God in Christ, that it should make the promise of no effect. 18 For if the inheritance [is] of the law, [it is] no longer of promise; but God gave [it] to Abraham by promise. 19 What purpose then [does] the law [serve]? It was added because of transgressions, till the Seed should come to whom the promise was made; [and it was] appointed through angels by the hand of a mediator. 20 Now a mediator does not [mediate] for one [only], but God is one. 21 [Is] the law then against the promises of God? Certainly not! For if there had been a law given which could have given life, truly righteousness would have been by the law. 22 But the Scripture has confined all under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe. 23 But before faith came, we were kept under guard by the law, kept for the faith which would afterward be revealed. 24 Therefore the law was our tutor [to bring us] to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25 But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor. 26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if you [are] Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Predestinated – means: the sovereign choice of God, divine decision: thus with Purpose, Foreknowledge, will accomplish His plan and purpose! His foreknowledge, predetermined purpose is Jesus Christ. {“having been foreordained according to the purpose of Him who works all things after the counsel of His will;  [Gal 3:8; Eph 1:1-23; 3:4-11; 1 Pet 1:20; Rom 8:29,30]

Acts 2:23 ‘…this Man, delivered over by the predetermined plan and foreknowledge of God, you nailed to a cross by the hands of godless men and put Him to death. But God raised Him up again, putting an end to the agony of death, since it was impossible for Him to be held in its power.’
2 Timothy 1: 8’……God, 9who hath saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began; 10But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel: 11Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles. K.J.V.

[Eph 1:4-14 ASV] 4 even as He chose us in Him (Christ) before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blemish before Him in love: 5 having foreordained us unto adoption as sons through Jesus Christ unto himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, 6 to the praise of the glory of his grace, which he freely bestowed on us in the Beloved: 7 in whom we have our redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, 8 which he made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence, 9 making known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he purposed in him 10 unto a dispensation of the fulness of the times, to sum up all things in Christ, the things in the heavens, and the things upon the earth; in him, [I say,] 11 in whom also we were made a heritage, having been foreordained according to the purpose of him who works all things after the counsel of his will; 12 to the end that we should be unto the praise of his glory, we who had before hoped in Christ: 13 in whom ye also, having heard the word of the truth, the gospel of your salvation,– in whom, having also believed, ye were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14 which is an earnest of our inheritance, unto the redemption of [God’s] own possession, unto the praise of his glory. [Rom 8:29-30 NKJV] 29 For whom He foreknew (those who belive in Jesus Christ {He chose us in Him (Christ) before the foundation of the world}), He also predestined to be, {predetermined purpose, that Jesus Christ, would appear in time (the time of the reformation [setting things right]), die on the cross, shed His blood for the sins of the world, and raised Him from the dead} conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. (The Lord God Almighty, The Father decided, chose, that ‘all’ who believe in, have faith in, Jesus Christ the Son of God would be conformed to His image, be justified, that they would be glorified with Him.) [Rom 8:16 NKJV] 16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs–heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with [Him], that we may also be glorified together.) [Eph 1:15-23 ASV] 15 For this cause I also, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which is among you, and the love which [ye show] toward all the saints, 16 cease not to give thanks for you, making mention [of you] in my prayers; 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him; 18 having the eyes of your heart enlightened, that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, 19 and what the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to that working of the strength of his might 20 which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and made him to sit at his right hand in the heavenly [places], 21 far above all rule, and authority, and power, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: 22 and he put all things in subjection under his feet, and gave him to be head over all things to the church, 23 which is his body, the fulness of him that fills all in all.

[Eph 3:9-11 NKJV] 9 and to make all see what [is] the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God who created all things through Jesus Christ; 10 to the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly [places], 11 according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord,

[1Pe 1:19-23 NKJV]19 Christ.  20 He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you 21 who through Him believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.
[Rom 3:23 KJV] 23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
[Rom 6:23 KJV] 23 For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
[Rom 5:8 KJV] 8 But God commends his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
[Eph 2:8-9 KJV] 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
[Jhn 5:24-25 NKJV] 24 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life. 25 “Most assuredly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear will live.
[Rom 10:9-10 NKJV] 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
[Rom 16:24-27 NKJV] 24 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [be] with you all. Amen. 25 Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery kept secret since the world began 26 but now made manifest, and by the prophetic Scriptures made known to all nations, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, for obedience to the faith– 27 to God, alone wise, [be] glory through Jesus Christ forever. Amen.

Amen.
[Phl 2:9-10 NASB] 9 For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth,

John 5:24 [Jhn 5:24 NASB] 24 “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.

Beware of the evil one:
Luke 8:12,13  “The ones along the path are those who have heard. Then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved. And the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear the word, receive it with joy. But these have no root; they believe for a while, and in time of testing fall away.”
The evil one desires to destroy your faith. He uses this word, ‘Predestinated’, to take away the word from your heart so that you may not believe and be saved, and to steal away salvation just as it is offered to you.

Gen 12:1 Now the LORD had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, from your family And from your father’s house, To a land that I will show you. 2 I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; And you shall be a blessing. 3 I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

{note: “In thee shall all the families of the earth be blessed” This is the great evangelic promise fulfilled in Abraham’s Seed, Christ, and in all the spiritual seed of Abraham who, like Abraham, are justified by faith (Rom 4:3; Gal 3:6-9, 16, 19; cp John 8:56-58). It gives added revelation and confirmation of the promise of the Covenant concerning the Seed of the Woman (Gen 3:15)}. [Gen 13:16; 15:5-6; 17:1-8, 19-*21; 18:18; 21:1-3,*12; {Heb 11:17-19; Gal 3:6-12-18; Rom 4:1-8, 16-25; 9:7; Ps 105:6-10;} Gen 22:15-18; 26:3-5, 24; 28:12,13,*14,15;}

The Law (Ex 20) did not change the provisions or abrogate the promise of God as given in the Covenant with Abraham. The law was an added thing for a limited time only—till the Seed should come (Gal 3:16-29)”

Deu 7:6 “For you [are] a holy people to the LORD your God; the LORD your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth. 7 “The LORD did not set His love on you nor choose you because you were more in number than any other people, for you were the least of all peoples; *8 “but because the LORD loves you, and because He would keep the oath which He swore to your fathers, the LORD has brought you out with a mighty hand,

*Deut 18:15 “The LORD your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your midst, from your brethren. Him you shall hear,(speaking of Christ) 16 “according to all you desired of the LORD your God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, ‘Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, nor let me see this great fire anymore, lest I die.’ 17 “And the LORD said to me: ‘What they have spoken is good. 18 ‘I will raise up for them a Prophet like you from among their brethren, and will put My words in His mouth, and He shall speak to them all that I command Him. 19 ‘And it shall be [that] whoever will not hear My words, which He speaks in My name, I will require [it] of him. (John 1:21,45; 6:14; Acts 3:22-23; 7:37).

You Were Not Predestinated to Be What You Are! (or Chosen To Go To Hell)

It all begins with Genesis 3:15 “And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel.” [Gal 3:7-9, 16-29]

ARE WE PREDESTINATED TO HEAVEN OR HELL?

John 1: 1- ‘In the beginning was the Word, and Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. There came a man sent from God, whose name was John. He came as a witness, to testify about the Light, so that all might believe through Him. He was not the Light, but he came to testify about the Light. There was the true Light which, coming into the world, enlightens every man. He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and those who were His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of man, but of God..’ (Christ – Predestinated)

John 1:29.  The next day he saw Jesus coming to him and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! This is He on behalf of whom I said, ‘After me comes a Man who has a higher rank than I, for He existed before me.’ I did not recognize Him, but so that He might be manifested to Israel, I came baptizing in water.” (Christ – Predestinated)

John 3:31He who comes from above is above all, he who is of the earth is from the earth and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all. What He has seen and heard, of that He testifies; and no one receives His testimony. He who has received His testimony has set his seal to this, that God is true. For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God; for He gives the Spirit without measure. The Father loves the Son and has given all things into His hand. He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.” (Belief in Christ = Salvation Predestinated)

Acts 2:23 ‘…this Man, delivered over by the predetermined plan and foreknowledge of God, you nailed to a cross by the hands of godless men and put Him to death. But God raised Him up again, putting an end to the agony of death, since it was impossible for Him to be held in its power.’ (Christ – Predestinated)

Acts 2:38  “For the promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God will call to Himself.”

Romans 3:23-28 ‘for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus; whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation (a mercy seat)  in His blood through faith. This was to demonstrate His righteousness, because in the forbearance of God He passed over the sins previously committed; for the demonstration, I say, of His righteousness at the present time, so that He would be the just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.’ (Emphasis Mine)(Christ is Predestined)

Romans 3:28 ‘For we maintain that a man is justified by faith…’ ‘…since indeed God who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith……’ (faith in the Predestined Christ)

5:1 ‘Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,…’

(So by a predetermined plan and foreknowledge of God – God determined, All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God – planned a gift of grace – justification through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus)  -(Mine)

Romans 8:29-30 ‘For those whom He foreknew (believers in Christ), He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren; and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified.’ (Emphasis Mine) (A Predestinated Plan)

Galations 1:15 ‘But when God, who had set me apart even from my mother’s womb and called me through His grace,…’

Ephesians 1:5,11 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

Ephesians 3:4-11 ‘…the mystery of Christ, which in other generations was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed to His holy apostles, and prophets in the Spirit; to be specific, that the Gentiles are fellow heirs and fellow members of the body, and fellow partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel, of which I was made a minister, according to the gift of God’s grace, which was given to me according to the working of His power. To me, the very least of all saints, this grace was given, to me to preach to the Gentiles the unfathomable riches of Christ, and to bring to light what is the administration of the mystery which for ages has been hidden in God who created all things; so that the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known through the church to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. This was in accordance with the eternal purpose which he carried out in Christ Jesus our Lord,…

Philippians 2:5-9 ‘…Christ Jesus, who, although He existed in the form of  God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. For this reason God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.’

Colossians 1:15-20  ‘He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities – all things have been created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. He is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything. For it was the Father’s good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him, and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself…’

Colossians 1:25-28 ‘..so that I might fully carry out the preaching of the word of God, that is, the mystery which has been hidden from the past ages and generations, but has now been manifested to His saints, to who God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Colossians  2:2-3 ‘…hearts may be encouraged, having been knit together in love, and attaining to all the wealth that comes from the full assurance of understanding, resulting in a true knowledge of God’s mystery, that is Christ Himself, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.’ 2:6 ‘Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him,………….For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form, and in Him you have been made complete, and He is the head over all rule and authority;’ 2:12  – 3:3‘…having been buried with Him in baptism, in which you were also raised up with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. When you were dead in your transgressions and uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions, having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public display of them having triumphed over them through Him. …………you have been raised up with Christ,……..For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God……….’

1 Peter 1:19-21 ‘…………….Christ. For He was foreknown before the foundation of the world, but has appeared in these last times for the sake of you who through Him are believers in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.

1 Peter 2:4 ‘……disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious…..’

1 Peter 2:6 ‘…..Behold I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on Him shall not be confounded……’

1 Timothy 2:3-6 ‘….God our Saviour, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of truth.’ ‘…..Christ Jesus who gave Himself as a ransome for all……’ 1 Timothy 4:10 ‘…..God, who as the Saviour of all men, especially of believers.’

2 Timothy 1:9-11 ‘……God; who hath saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began; But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel: Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.
