BABYLON, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen

Rev 17:1Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and talked with me, saying to me, “Come, I will show you the judgment {Chap 18} of the great harlot {17:5 MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH}{ the woman whom you saw is that great city which reigns over the kings of the earth.”Babylon”} who sits on many waters {15 Then he said to me, “The waters which you saw, where the harlot sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues.}{the kings and the inhabitants of the earth}{Rev 12:3And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. 9And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.} {Rev 20:2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand year}
2 “with whom the kings of the earth {3 The Scarlet Beast}{15 Then he said to me, “The waters which you saw, where the harlot sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues.}{Rev 12:3And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. 9And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.} {Rev 20:2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand year}committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth were made drunk with the wine of her fornication.”
3 So he carried me away in the Spirit into the wilderness. And I saw a woman {17:5 MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH}{18 the woman whom you saw is that great city which reigns over the kings of the earth.”Babylon} sitting on a scarlet beast {2 the kings of the earth} [which was] full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. {12 “The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast.}{Rev 12:3.9And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.} {Rev 20:2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand year}
4 The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the filthiness of her fornication.
5 And on her forehead a name [was] written: MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
6 I saw the woman, {17:5 MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH}{ the woman whom you saw is that great city which reigns over the kings of the earth.”Babylon} drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. And when I saw her, I marveled with great amazement.
7 But the angel said to me, “Why did you marvel? I will tell you the mystery of the woman {17:5 MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH}{18  the woman whom you saw is that great city which reigns over the kings of the earth.”Babylon}{3And I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast [which was] full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns}and of the beast {3 a scarlet beast}that carries her, which has the seven heads and the ten horns. {3And I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast [which was] full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns}
8 “The beast that you saw {17:3And I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast [which was] full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns} was, and is not, and will ascend {the Ottoman Empire}{Dan 7:23The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces. 7:24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom [are] ten kings [that] shall arise and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings (ISIS) {These 10 horns are kings/countries that once were the Ottoman Empire. And those who dwell on the earth will marvel, whose names are not written in the Book of Life from the foundation of the world {ISIS}, when they see the beast that was, and is not, and yet is {vs 8: the Ottoman Empire}
9 “Here [is] the mind which has wisdom: The seven heads are seven mountains {countries/nations/Kings of the earth (see: Isaiah 2:2; 13:2; Jer 51:25)}on which the woman sits. {17:2 the kings and the inhabitants of the earth} {3And I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast [which was] full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns}

11 “The beast that was, and is not, is himself also the eighth, and is of the seven, and is going to perdition. {the Ottoman Empire}
{Daniel 7:7″After this I saw in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, exceedingly strong. It had huge iron teeth; it was devouring, breaking in pieces, and trampling the residue with its feet. It [was] different from all the beasts that [were] before it, and it had ten horns.
8″I was considering the horns, and there was another horn, a little one, coming up among them, before whom three of the first horns were plucked out by the roots. And there, in this horn, [were] eyes like the eyes of a man, and a mouth speaking pompous words.
19″Then I wished to know the truth about the fourth beast, which was different from all the others, exceedingly dreadful, [with] its teeth of iron and its nails of bronze, [which] devoured, broke in pieces, and trampled the residue with its feet;

13 “These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast.
14 “These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those [who are] with Him [are] called, chosen, and faithful.”
15 Then he said to me, “The waters which you saw, where the harlot sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues.
16 “And the ten horns which you saw on the beast {These 10 horns are kings/countries that once were the Ottoman Empire. 17 “For God has put it into their hearts to fulfill His purpose, to be of one mind, and to give their kingdom to the beast, {These 10 horns are kings/countries that once were the Ottoman Empire. 1/5/16 http://www.timesofisrael.com/in-the-iran-saudi-arabia-conflict-a-clash-of-civilizations/ The cold war between the two regional powers is likely to heat up, reviving an age-old sectarian war between Sunni and Shiite Islam in which every country and group in the Middle East will have to choose a side.
Consider the list: Lebanon, where for more than a year and a half there has been no president, partly because of the tension between Saudi Arabia and Iran; Yemen, where a civil war is being waged with the direct intervention of Saudi forces and Iranian advisers; Syria, of course, where Iran’s Revolutionary Guards are fighting militias funded by Riyadh; Iraq (which is in many ways similar to Syria in that regard); and even the West Bank, where the Iranians give financial support to the Islamic Jihad, to the A-Sabireen movement in Gaza and, to a limited extent, to Hamas.
And indeed, nearly all the actors in the Middle Eastern arena now understand that the Iranian declarations are not hollow and that Tehran will try to give them substance in the form of an attack on the Saudi kingdom.
Any revenge attack via Shiite actors will draw a Saudi response. Which means, as the London-based site Al Araby Al Jadeed wrote Monday, the cold war will heat up suddenly into a more much more dangerous confrontation between the two countries.
It has to be said that this crisis, which is likely to lead to a clash of the two civilizations, Shiite and Sunni, does not come as much of a shock.
Hamas is not alone. From now on, the name of the game in our region is that every country or organization will have to choose a side. The Israeli-Arab conflict no longer interests decision-makers in Riyadh or Cairo; rather the battle for the future of the Middle East between Shiites and Sunnis occupies center stage.
Almost 1,400 years have passed since the first battles broke out within the Muslim world between the inheritors of the Prophet Muhammad, which led to the schism between Shiites and Sunnis, and it seems little has changed here: We are returning to the same very old sectarian war, which is likely to lead to severe ongoing bloodshed that will once again shape the face of the region.

If Saudi Arabia is Babylon and this latest news reflects the war coming, is it time Rev 17,18 to be fulfilled? Perhaps it is time to reveal the ‘beast’, the leader of the end times called the anti-Christ.

ALERT
**11/05/17 https://www.debka.com/mivzak/sweeping-saudi-purge-detentions-princes-including-tycoon-waleed-bin-talal/ Dozens of princes and former prime ministers were detained overnight Saturday in Saudi Arabia, including global financial tycoon Prince Waleed bin Talal, a major investor in Citigroup, 21st Century Fox, Apple and Twitter, among others. The purge was described as part of the kingdom’s first ever anti-corruption drive, in line with Crown Prince Mohamad bin-Salman’s reform program. Also detained was Finance Minister Ibrahim Al Assaf. King Salman said the detainees were “weak of character, without conscience or morals.” A parallel purge took place in the top ranks of the military and the National Guard. DEBKAfile reports that the Crown Prince targeted his opponents and strengthened his own position. Some sources claim the king will abdicate soon and Prince Muhammad ascend the throne.
**11/04/17 https://www.debka.com/mivzak/riyadh-airport-air-defense-intercepts-iranian-made-missile-fired-yemeni-rebels/ An Iranian-made missile fired by Yemeni Houthis was aimed Saturday night at the King Khaled International Airport of Riyadh. It was intercepted by an air defense battery. DEBKAfile reports: the missile was a Burkan 2H which has a range of 1,000km. It was supplied to the Yemen rebels by Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, and it was launched from the northern Yemen town of Saadah.
**10/29/17 https://www.debka.com/key-kurdish-held-border-crossing-falls-iranian-control-cuts-us-army-land-supply-line-syria/ The Iraqi army and Shiite Hashd Shaabi Brigades militias under Iranian Revolutionary Guards command seized the strategically important northern Iraqi-Syrian border crossing of Faysh Khabur on Saturday, Oct. 28, forcing the Kurdish Peshmerga into another retreat after this month’s fall of oil-rich Kirkuk. The joint Iraqi-Iranian operation was conducted surreptitiously, masked as an Iraqi military operation “to liberate al Qaim from ISIS” – with which Iraqi Prime Minister Haydar al-Abadi laid a red herring.
1This operation,  choreographed by Guards General Qassem Soleimani, wrapped up his scheme to round off Iran’s control of the northern sector of that border, in order to achieve four strategic objectives:
To cut off the overland corridor between Iraqi Kurdistan and the three Syrian enclaves ruled by the YPG militia. The Syrian militia is now barred from coming to the aid of its Iraqi brothers, the peshmerga.
2To shut the only open door remaining to Kurdish residents wishing to travel outside Iraqi Kurdistan. The Iraqi government has cut all its air links by seizing the international airports of Irbil and Suliemeniyeh and threatening to shoot down any planes using them. The siege of semiautonomous Iraqi Kurdistan is therefore complete.
3Faysh Khabur was also the only land crossing the American army had the use of used for moving supplies to US forces stationed in northern Syria. The US army is now left only with air transit.
4Iran’s overland bridge to Syria via Iraq is now complete unimpeded by either the US or Israel.

Christians make up a little more than 51 percent of Nigeria’s population, while Muslims living primarily in the north account for 45 percent. Nigeria ranks 12th on Open Doors’ 2017 World Watch List of countries where Christians suffer the most persecution.
***10/27/17 http://www.israelhayom.com/2017/10/27/no-role-for-assad-in-syrias-future-us-top-diplomat-says/ “The United States wants a whole and unified Syria with no role for Bashar Assad in the government,” says Secretary of State Rex Tillerson • “The reign of the Assad family is coming to an end, and the only issue is how that should be brought about.”
Tillerson made the comments after what he called a “fruitful” meeting with U.N. Syria envoy Staffan de Mistura, who later announced plans to resume U.N.-mediated peace Syrian talks on Nov. 28. It will be the eighth such round under his mediation in Geneva since early 2016.
Syria’s civil war has left at least 400,000 people dead and driven more than 11 million people from their homes, and the United States has been calling for Assad to go nearly from the start of the uprising against him more than six an a half years ago.
De Mistura announced the Nov. 28 date for the resumption of the intra-Syrian talks in an address by video conference to the U.N. Security Council following the Tillerson meeting. He said it was time to move on the political track to end the conflict, saying “now is the moment of truth.”
“It would be a mistake by all of us if we think that time is on our side,” the special envoy said. “The best way to proceed requires indeed instead an intensified engagement among the key players in support of the Geneva parties.”
De Mistura said he would work to move into “real negotiation on a constitution and U.N.-supervised elections” while exploring the issue of governance and terrorism “in parallel” files. He expressed openness to any initiative that contributes to the U.N.-led process in Geneva.
Opposition delegations – which do not include Islamic State or other U.N.-designated terrorist groups – have never spoken directly to Syrian government envoys under de Mistura’s mediation.
Tillerson sought to play down any idea that the Syrian government’s advances might amount to a “triumph” for Iran, which has been a key backer of Assad.
“I see Iran as a hanger-on,” Tillerson said. “Iran has not been successful; the Russian government has been more successful. We have had success. I don’t think that Iran should be given credit for the defeat of ISIS in Syria.”
Tillerson met with de Mistura during a stop in Geneva on his way home from a trip to the Middle East and South Asia. Officials said Tillerson had initially planned to meet with officials from the U.N. refugee and migration agencies and the head of the International Committee of the Red Cross, but those meetings did not take place during his short visit in Geneva.

Dubai (Sunni)

 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dubai  Dubai (/dˈb/ doo-BYArabic: دبيّ‎ Dubayy, IPA: [dʊˈbæj]) is a city in the United Arab Emirates, located within the emirate of the same name. The emirate of Dubai is located on the southeast coast of the Persian Gulf and is one of the seven emirates that make up the country. It has the largest population in the UAE (2,106,177) and the second-largest land territory (4,114 km2) after the capital, Abu Dhabi.[4] Abu Dhabi and Dubai are the only two emirates to have veto power over critical matters of national importance in the country’s legislature.[5] The city of Dubai is located on the emirate’s northern coastline and heads up the Dubai-Sharjah-Ajman metropolitan area. Dubai is often misperceived as a country or city-state and, in some cases, the UAE as a whole has been described as ‘Dubai’

Abu Dhabi (mixed Sunni,Shi’ite) houses important offices of the federal government, and is the seat for the UAE (United Arab Emirates Government) and the home for the Abu Dhabi Emiri Family and the President of the UAE from this family. Abu Dhabi has grown to be a cosmopolitan metropolis. Its rapid development and urbanisation, coupled with the relatively high average income of its population, has transformed Abu Dhabi to a larger and advanced metropolis. Today the city is the country’s center of politicalindustrial activities, and a major cultural, and commercial centre due to its position as the capital. Abu Dhabi alone generated 56.7% of the GDP of the United Arab Emirates in 2008.

The restrictions seek to limit any potential opposition to the new crown prince, Mohammed bin Salman, American officials and Saudis were quoted as saying. Later, a Saudi official denied that the former crown prince is under any restrictions. The 82-year-old King Salman placed his 31-year-old son next in line to the throne on June 21.
Saudi Arabia[b] ( i/ˌsdi əˈrbi.ə/ or  i/ˌsɔːd əˈrbi.ə/), officially known as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA),[c] is the largest Arab state in Western Asia by land area (approximately 2,150,000 km2 (830,000 sq mi), constituting the bulk of the Arabian Peninsula) and the second-largest in the Arab world after Algeria. It is bordered byJordan and Iraq to the north, Kuwait to the northeast, QatarBahrain and the United Arab Emirates to the east, Oman to the southeast, and Yemen in the south. It is the only nation with both a Red Sea coast and a Persian Gulf coast.Before the inception of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, modern-day Saudi Arabia consisted of four distinct regions: HejazNajd and parts of Eastern Arabia (Al-Hasa) andSouthern Arabia (‘Asir).[12] The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was founded in 1932 by Ibn Saud; he united the four regions into a single state through a series of conquests beginning in 1902 with the capture of Riyadh, the ancestral home of his family, the House of Saud. The country has since been an absolute monarchy governed along Islamic lines, namely under the influence of Wahhabism.[13] Saudi Arabia is sometimes called “the Land of the Two Holy Mosques” in reference to Al-Masjid al-Haram (inMecca), and Al-Masjid an-Nabawi (in Medina), the two holiest places in Islam.

**1/13/17  http://www.wnd.com/2017/01/obama-kerry-have-1-last-surprise-waiting-for-jewish-state/  Israel is bracing for more hostile declarations from a bloc of more than 70 nations meeting Sunday in Paris with the goal of embracing a document that calls for a two-state solution with a Palestinian state formed within the 1949 boundaries.
Israel will not even have a representative in Paris, nor will Israel be present when Pope Francis meets with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas the day before, on Saturday. This has led some to describe the pope’s meddling as tantamount to “having a wedding without the groom.”
This weekend’s developments are just the latest in a three-week nightmare for Israel that has coincided with the final month of Barack Obama’s presidency. The United Nations Security Council passed a resolution Dec. 23 calling all of east Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria “occupied Palestinian land.” Five days later, Secretary of State John Kerry declared that construction in Judea and Samaria stands as one of the main obstacles to peace and said Israel could either be Jewish or Democratic, not both.
Now, the Paris peace summit document looms, and the fear is that it will be used by the U.N. as the basis for yet another anti-Israel resolution or statement that will be issued when the U.N. Security Council meets on Jan. 17, just three days before Obama leaves office.

EU – (mixed Sunni,Shi’ite) *6/27/16 http://www.algemeiner.com/2016/06/27/why-brexit-was-a-true-populist-revolt/ Nonpartisan analyses concluded that approximately 60 percent of all legislation enacted by Britain’s Parliament was dictated, in whole or in part, by decisions already breached by Brussels bureaucrats or EU diplomats. For some years, this problem was labeled the “democratic deficit,” the gap between what voters thought they were deciding in British general elections and what they actually got in terms of policy. But this bloodless phrase sounded like a technical problem, a minor defect that could be remedied as the EU grew “broader” (adding more members) and “deeper” (closer political integration). In fact, however, the democratic deficit increased over time, growing less and less tolerable for Brits who had always been suspicious of schemes for European continental unity.

The state has admitted for the first time that the extensive construction activity at the compound, including works to preserve the historic buildings there, as well as the construction of illegal structures inside the compound, have been carried out without permits, stating, “The planning and building laws of the State of Israel apply to the compound and to the works that are the subject of the petition; and the UN is expected to act in accordance with the principles of the relevant planning and building laws.”
Regavim also accused the UN contingency of illegally invading a large swath of state-owned land beyond the compound’s boundaries.
*7/9/16 http://www.jpost.com/Breaking-News/Obama-tells-France-Germany-Italy-Britain-to-safeguard-EU-after-Brexit-vote-459906 US President Barack Obama told the leaders of Germany, Italy, France and Britain they should “preserve the stability and well-being of the European project” after Britons voted to leave the European Union, a White House official said.
The leaders of the five leading NATO states, known as the Quint, also met with Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko to express their support for Kiev after Russia annexed its Black Sea peninsula of Crimea and then backed rebels in east Ukraine.
“The leaders agreed that Ukraine has made considerable progress on political, economic, and anti-corruption reforms, but that more work must be done to consolidate these gains,” the official said.*
7/5/16 http://www.wnd.com/2016/07/rejected-by-u-k-europeans-to-seek-empire/ Now that the European Union will be losing the United Kingdom as a result of the Brexit vote, concerns are growing that the E.U. is seeking to expand intercontinentally with the aim of establishing an “empire.”
A week after the British vote on June 23, E.U. Vice President Federica Mogherini released a document outlining the union’s plan for expansion, “A Global Strategy for the European Union’s Foreign And Security Policy,” raising some eyebrows in foreign policy circles.
Not only does the document suggest the possible formation of an E.U. army, it explores expanding the multi-state entity into Asia and Africa.
It even envisions a global government.

UN (Mixed/leans Shi’ite) 5/30/17  http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/230361  The Palestinian Authority (PA) on Monday urged the UN Security Council to take action to protect Jerusalem from Israeli attempts to “Judaize” the city, the Ma’an news agency reported.
The statement came a day after the Israeli Cabinet held its weekly meeting in the Western Wall tunnels instead of in the Knesset in order to honor Jerusalem Day, which was celebrated last week.
During the meeting, the ministers approved several projects important for Israel’s capital, including two projects intended to make the Western Wall more accessible for wheelchairs.
The PA bureau in charge of foreign affairs on Tuesday condemned Israel’s “Judaization campaign” in eastern Jerusalem, including a cable car project approved by the Cabinet at Sunday’s meeting and the planned construction of elevators and passages connecting the Western Wall to Jewish-majority neighborhoods in Jerusalem.
The Cabinet meeting in Jerusalem raised the ire of the Secretary General of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), Saeb Erekat, who said on Sunday that the “meeting in Occupied East Jerusalem is an attempt by the Israeli government to normalize occupation, oppression and colonization over the land and the people of Palestine.”
4/30/17 http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/228851 Israel asks UN for permission to inspect Armon Hanatziv compound.
State asks for delay in response to petition against illegal construction by UN in Jerusalem, seeks to tour compound with UN permission.
The Jerusalem District Court last week ordered the Jerusalem Municipality and the Israel Land Authority to respond to the petition filed last week by Regavim against the United Nations over an illegal construction boom at the UN headquarters in the Armon Hanatziv neighborhood, which belongs to the State of Israel.
*The state, for its part, has filed a request for an additional postponement to the Jerusalem District Court, which indicates that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been in contact with various elements of the UN, and has asked the UN to allow a visit by professional bodies on behalf of the State of Israel.
The representatives of the Foreign Ministry also held a preliminary visit to the site, during which UN representatives claimed that the construction work currently under way without building permits from the Jerusalem Municipality and without the consent of the State of Israel belongs to the area, as “arising from the need for essential renovations in the historic building, which was erected in 1929.”
The state explained its request for an additional period, also because of “the need to formulate the State’s position on the legal aspects [of the case], including aspects relating to the immunity of the UN, as well as the need to further clarify the factual basis and the continuation of diplomatic contacts with the UN.”
The suit filed by the Regavim movement last month noted the flood of serious building violations committed by the UN in recent years, including concrete castings in the historic building, the construction of an illegal multi-story office building, a hangar storage and a pirate gas station that is also an environmental hazard.
After the liberation of Jerusalem, the Israeli government gave UNTSO, a UN agency, the right to use the area, free of charge, to supervise the cease-fire between Israel and its neighbors after the war.
The United Nations agencies UNTSO and UNSCO are currently operating in the compound, alongside the office of UN envoy to the Middle East Nikolai Maldanov, who is conducting blatant and hostile anti-Israel activity and which Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman has proposed to boycott.
At the end of last week, it was announced that during the celebration of Israel’s 69th Independence Day in Jerusalem, the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization is expected to adopt a resolution according to which the State of Israel is not the sovereign in Jerusalem. Last year, the UNESCO Executive Committee adopted the PA proposal which denied the Jewish connection to the Temple Mount and the Western Wall, a decision that caused great anger in the Israeli government. [Dan 11:45 “And he shall plant the tents of his palace between the seas and the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and no one will help him.]

OIC – (Mixed) Arab League, Organization of Islamic Cooperation
Iyad bin Amin Madani  Secretary General of OIC (Organization of Islamic Cooperation) plans to visit the Temple Mount in Jerusalem and meet with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.
Leaders of Muslim nations met in Rabat to establish the OIC on 25 September 1969.
The OIC adopted the Cairo Declaration on Human Rights in Islam to serve as a guidance for the member states in the matters of human rights in as much as they are compatible with the Sharia, or Quranic Law.
An official from the pan-Arab bloc told AFP Arabi had “instructed the Arab League’s UN representative to initiate urgent consultations within the Arab group calling for an emergency security meeting of the Security Council.”
An international organization founded in 1969 consisting of 57 member states. The organisation states that it is “the collective voice of the Muslim world” and works to “safeguard and protect the interests of the Muslim world in the spirit of promoting international peace and harmony”. The OIC has permanent delegations to the United Nations and the European Union. The official languages of the OIC are Arabic, English, and French.
4/16/16 http://www.timesofisrael.com/islamic-summit-raps-iran-over-terror-support/ President Hassan Rouhani ditches final session in protest of OIC’s criticism of Tehran’s ‘interference in the internal affairs’ of Mideast states. Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, who had been at the two-day Istanbul conference along with over 30 other heads of state and government from Islamic countries, did not attend the closing meeting in protest at the criticisms.
“The (Organization of Islamic Cooperation) Conference deplored Iran’s interference in the internal affairs of the States of the region and other Member States including Bahrain, Yemen, Syria, and Somalia, and its continued support for terrorism,” said the summit’s final statement.

GCC – (mixed Sunni, Shi’ite) **6/1/17 The enemy of my enemy is my friend, but Iran doesn’t seem to be the enemy of all US allies. Qatari state media sources claimed that Qatar’s emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani cautioned against butting heads with Tehran, and have expressed support for Iran-backed groups such as Hamas and Hezbollah.
This brings Qatar into conflict with the Saudis and the United Arab Emirates, both of whom consider Iran to be their primary foe. Doha claimed that the report was falsified, but the Saudis didn’t buy it and continuously decried Qatar in their own state-run media. “Doha’s insistence in denying the issue is marginal because in reality, on the ground, Qatar confirms it adopts the policies that it is now trying to deny,” read a Monday editorial in Saudi-owned newspaper Al-Hayat.
Qatar has always been the black sheep of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC): while the Kingdom and the UAE consider the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist group, Qatar has traditionally backed them. When the Brotherhood seized control of Egypt after the 2011 Arab Spring, this caused a ripple effect that has soured Qatar’s relationship with the Saudis and Emiratis.
Some analysts have claimed that Trump’s recent statements have opened the floodgates to renew an old regional rivalry. “When Trump gave fulsome support in Riyadh and said, ‘let’s isolate Iran’ that sent a signal to the UAE and Saudi, which felt emboldened and said: let’s let loose everything we have on Qatar,” said Gerd Nonneman, professor of International Relations and Gulf Studies at Georgetown University in Qatar.
With dissent in the ranks of their rivals, Iran is laughing their way to the bank. Pro-government Iranian newspaper Kayhan wrote that the bickering was evidence of the Saudis inability to “form an alliance.
A US diplomat in Doha worried that, if the row continues, “the GCC could harm it own interests in this fight and is at risk of becoming more vulnerable to Iranian encroachment.” Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani will be meeting with Saudi emir counterpart Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Sabah in Kuwait to try to ease tensions.
The hesitation wasn’t limited to Qatar. Iraqi foreign minister Ibrahim al-Ja’afari said that his country “would never join the anti-Iran coalition” in an interview with Spanish newspaper ABC. Instead he pointed to Turkey, which he accused of illegally maintaining a military presence in Iraq since 2015. Iran, the old enemy of Iraq, is a comparatively insignificant challenge according to al-Ja’afari.
Twenty-five hundred miles away in Pakistan, Islamabad has been unreceptive to Saudi and American offers to join an anti-Iran alliance. Pakistan’s government initially was happy to participate in the Saudi-led Islamic Military Alliance against Terrorism (IMAT), but they pumped the brakes on that decision when the Saudis suggested IMAT would counter Iran as well.

The constituent emirates are Abu Dhabi (which serves as the capital), AjmanDubai,FujairahRas al-KhaimahSharjah, and Umm al-Quwain. Each emirate is governed by an absolute monarch who jointly form the Federal Supreme Council.
